Salt of The Earth

A collection of raw, elemental pieces that can be worn every day.

Salt of The Earth is a collection to remind us that we are all in this together. We all live by the sun and the moon and we all need them equally to survive. Just as the sun brings the light, the moon brings the dark and with it, new perspectives.

Salt of The Earth is about balance and equilibrium. To remind us that at every point in life there is a lesson to be learned. The only question is whether we are going to listen.

Made as always in our Byron Bay studio using recycled Sterling Silver and sustainable brass.

THE PHOTOSHOOT:

On a warm misty December morning, I made my way down onto the sand to lay everything out to shoot and await Alix who would be working magic with the lens and Jordy who would be lending her gorgeous self to be the blank canvas decorated with Two In The Sun jewels.

It was one of those crazily misty mornings in Byron. You couldn't see further than 100m in front of you..the air was wet and heavy and the clouds were beginning to find colour from the suns impending arrival. It was perfect for a photoshoot!

Alix arrived next, sleepy eyed but ready to take on the day. Jordy had parked a little further down the beach and she slowly emerged out of the mist like a vision from some kind of lucid dream.

As the sun began to rise, the girls worked their magic and these are some of the images we captured to showcase Salt of The Earth. The dress featured is from amazing local designer Opia- it’s called the Winslet Mini in Natural.

I feel very blesses to live in a community surrounded by such wonderfully talented designers and creators and am ever grateful for the opportunities to work together.
